Faur has been shortlisted in the Professional Services StartUp of the Year category at the UK StartUp Awards 2026, selected from more than 2,000 entries and recognised in Scotland. The regional final takes place in June 2026, with winners progressing to the national final at Ideas Fest — 9–10 September 2026.
The shortlisting recognises Faur's work helping organisations across the UK and beyond implement AI in their communications — not as an experiment, but as a practical capability embedded into how they operate. Working with multinationals, NGOs, membership bodies, and ambitious scale-ups, the practice focuses on sharpening strategy, strengthening stakeholder engagement, and building the internal confidence to use new tools effectively.
That work sits within a broader ecosystem. Alongside the consulting practice, Applied Comms AI publishes original research and field notes on what's actually working in AI-assisted communications — the experiments, the failures, and the frameworks worth keeping. Comms With AI translates that into a practical toolkit: ready-to-deploy AI workflows for communications professionals, built for the day job.
"Being shortlisted alongside some impressive Scottish startups is genuinely encouraging," said founder Michael MacLennan. "We're looking forward to the regional final."
The UK StartUp Awards is now in its fifth year and is the largest independent startup programme in the country, with over 900 businesses shortlisted across ten nations and regions.
